SO YOUR SKATER IS IN CANSKATE - WHAT'S NEXT?

You've taken your child to CanSkate every week for the past few months.  She/he really likes skating and wants to continue.  What are the options?  There are a number of possibilities.  The important first step is to know and understand the options and pick the one that best suits both your child and you.  Here's what to do:

1. Talk to your CanSkate coach - he/she is in the best position to assess your child's skill and interest level and make suggestions.

2. Talk to your child and decide what you are able to commit to, both in time and finances.

3. Find out from your skating club what programs are offered, as well as time, location, cost and type of equipment needed.

4. Know that your child does not have to complete the CanSkate program before moving on to other programs!
